REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 23, §130(a).

The term "document" is substituted for the
ten "paper" wherever it appears. This
conforms with the definitional change in
§1—101(f) of this article.

This section includes the fees for the
collection and recordation of the qualifying
documents of a foreign professional
corporation under the fourth item in paragraph
(4). This is noted since the provision
requiring the Department to impose this fee
for a foreign professional corporation,
presently appearing in Art. 23, §444A(b), is
deleted from Title 7 of this article. The
Department treats a foreign professional
corporation as any other foreign corporation
and requires the same fees.

Paragraph (3) of this section sets forth the
recording fee for various documents of a
religious corporation. These provisions
presently appear in Art. 23, §269 and are
transferred here for purposes of uniformity.

In paragraph (4) of this section, the term
"savings and loan association" is substituted
for "savings and loan or homestead
association." This is done to reflect the
nomenclature of Title 6 of this article in
which the term "savings and loan association"
includes a savings and loan or homestead
association. Also substituted in paragraph
(4) of this section is "institution" for
"bank." This is done to conform with Title 6
of this article.
