forfeiture, and revival of the charters and
existence of corporations generally, including stock
and nonstock corporations, and close corporations,
professional service corporations, religious
corporations, private foundations, agricultural,
fishery, electric, transportation, and other
cooperative corporations and associations, real
estate investment trusts, partnerships, limited
partnerships, state banks, trust companies, savings
institutions, and other banking institutions,
savings and loan associations, credit unions,
fraternal benefit societies, and insurance
corporations; relating and pertaining to the
registration, qualification, and doing business in
this State by and other activities of foreign
corporations, associations, and other entities and
persons; relating and pertaining to the registration
and regulation of persons dealing with securities
and the regulation of the registration, sale,
issuance, trading, and underwriting of securities;
generally providing and establishing with respect to
various of these and related Batters, definitions,
exemptions and defenses, procedures, rights and
remedies, and civil and criminal penalties, and for
the supervisory and regulatory authority of various
governmental agencies and units; generally relating
to these and all other matters relating to corporate
and non—corporate entities and persons; repealing
inconsistent and obsolete laws relating to these
matters; and providing for the effect, construction,
and effective date of the provisions of this Act.
