(3)    THE VICTIM WAS A HOSTAGE TAKEN OR
ATTEMPTED TO BE TAKEN IN THE COURSE OF A KIDNAPPING OF AN
ATTEMPT TO KIDNAP;

(4)    THE VICTIM MAS A CHILD ABDUCTED IN
VIOLATION OF SECTION 2 OF ARTICLE 27 OF THE ANNOTATED
CODE OF MARYLAND;

(5)    THE DEFENDANT COMMITTEE THE MURDER
PURSUANT TO AN AGREEMENT OR CONTRACT TO COMMIT THE MURDER
FOR PECUNIARY GAIN;

(6)    AT THE TIME OF THE MURDER, THE DEFENDANT
WAS UNDER A SENTENCE OF LIFE IMPRISONMENT[[.]];

(7)    THE DEFENDANT COMMITTED MORE THAN ONE
OFFENSE OF MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE ARISING OUT OF THE
SAME OR SEPARATE INCIDENTS;

(8)    THE DEFENDANT COMMITTED THE MURDER WHILE
COMMITTING OR ATTEMPTING TO COMMIT ROBBERY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
463 of Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed:

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975, and shall apply only to
offenses committed on or after July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Crimes and Punishments — Life Imprisonment

FOR the purpose of requiring the imposition     of a
mandatory sentence of life imprisonment for any

person convicted of [[a felony]] certain crimes

subsequent to that person having served     three

separate terms of imprisonment as a result of     three

prior [[felony]] convictions for one of these
