AN ACT concerning

Crimes and Punishment — Capital Punishment

FOR the purpose of abolishing capital punishment and
establishing capital punishment for certain crimes;
establishing other punishments for certain other
crimes; specifying the form of the indictment for
those crimes which are subject to capital
punishment; making certain cross—reference
corrections; clarifying certain language; changing
certain obsolete language; providing for the
application of this Act; and generally relating to
and changing the sentences of certain crimes.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 12, 337, 338, 412, 413, 461, 462
and 616 of Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1974 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
