GENERAL ELECTION. THE TREASURER SERVES UNTIL HIS
SUCCESSOR IS QUALIFIED.

SECTION 2. This Act shall not apply to the
Treasurer in office upon the effective date hereof, but
shall first apply to the Treasurer elected at the general
election in 1978 to the extent that the termination of
his term in office shall be the first Tuesday in
December, 1982.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

AN ACT concerning

Charles County — Roads and Bridges

FOR the purpose of requiring the Charles County
Commissioners to provide for the method of
determination of certain assessments pertaining to
certain county assessments; and eliminating the
requirement that the annual benefit assessment may
not exceed a certain amount.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 348A and 348D of the Public Local
Laws of Charles County being Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1969 Edition and 1972
Supplement, as amended) be and they are hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
