AN ACT concerning
Health — Technical Corrections
FOR the purpose of correcting certain technical errors in
the laws relating to health.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,
Article 43 - Health
Section 42A(a), 42A(d), 132A(a), 132A(d),
291(b)(1)(i), 387C(b)(4)(vi), 394(a), 493(A),
524(a)(4) and 690
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 42A(a), 42A(d), 132A(a) , 132A(d),
291 (b) (1) (i), 387C(b)(4)(vi), 394(a), 493A, 524(a)(4) and
690 of Article 43 - Health, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1974 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 43 - Health
42A.
(a) Each county and Baltimore City during the
fiscal year 1971 and each year thereafter shall place on
deposit with the State Department of Health, funds equal
to 2095 of the costs for the hospital care of indigent and
medically indigent persons in the respective political
subdivisions, to permit the State Department of Health to
pay 100% of current costs for the hospital care of those
persons, provided that for the fiscal year beginning on
July 1, 1974, and for each fiscal year thereafter the
maximum amount of payment by any county or Baltimore City
shall not exceed one half of the amount of payment
actually paid for the fiscal year beginning on July 1,
