AN ACT concerning

Worcester County Public Schools — Election Days

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the use of the public
schools of Worcester County as polling places and to
allow the schools to remain open and in session on
primary and general election days.

BY adding to

Article 77 — Public Education

Section 76(c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 76 (c) be and it is hereby
added to Article 77 — Public Education, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1973
Supplement) to read as follows:

article 77 — Public Education
76.

(C) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS
SUBTITLE, IN WORCESTER COUNTY, THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS SHALL
NOT BE USED AS POLLING PLACES AND MAY REMAIN OPEN AND IN
SESSION ON PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION DAYS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
