CURRENT IN COMMERCIAL OR HOUSEHOLD USE SHALL BE LABELED
TO DESIGNATE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF AMPERES THAT IT MAY
SAFELY CONDUCT.

ANY MANUFACTURER, DISTRIBUTOR, WHOLESALER, OR
RETAILER, WHO SELLS OR CAUSES TO BE SOLD ELECTRICAL
EXTENSION CORDS USED TO CONDUCT ELECTRICAL CURRENT THAT
DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THIS STATUTE SHALL BE GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR PUNISHABLE BY A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $50 FOR
EACH SALE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1975.

BY adding to

Section 438A

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1972 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 437(2) of Article 48A — Insurance
Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement
Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
