SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning
Interstate Civil Defense and Disaster Compact —
Scope of Applicability
FOR the purpose of adding new Article 15 to the
Interstate Civil Defense and Disaster Compact to
enlarge the scope of the disasters to which the
Compact applies; providing that this Article shall
be in effect only in the States which have enacted
it; providing for the effect of this Article on the
other provisions of the Compact; providing for the
furnishing of aid under the Interstate Civil Defense
and Disaster Compact; and generally relating to the
scope of this Compact.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

hereby added to Article 41 — Governor—Executive and
Administrative Departments, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to
read as follows:
