SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 166I through 166L, inclusive
to be under the new subheading "Bowling Green Fire Area"
be and they are hereby added to the Public Local Laws of
Allegany County being Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition and 1973 Supplement)
to read as follows:
Article 1
BOWLING GREEN FIRE AREA
166 I.
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS WITH WHICH TO
MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A FIRE DEPARTMENT WITHIN CERTAIN
PARTS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY, THERE IS HEREBY CREATED A
SPECIAL FIRE AREA, TO BE KNOWN AS THE BOWLING GREEN FIRE
AREA, WHICH SHALL COMPRISE THE LAND PARTICULARLY
DESIGNATED AND DESCRIBED AND BEING IN THE BOUNDS, COURSES
AND DISTANCES AS FOLLOWS:
DESCRIBED AREA IN ELECTION DISTRICT NO. 6
BEGINNING AT A CONCRETE MONUMENT STANDING ON THE
EAST SIDE OF MCMULLEN HIGHWAY AT THE FOOT OF DINGLE HILL,
BEING A CORNER TO THE CITY LIMITS OF CUMBERLAND, MARYLAND
COORDINATE N662835 AND E294660 OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND
COORDINATE SYSTEM, THENCE WITH SAID CITY LIMITS IN A
SOUTHEASTERLY DIRECTION ACROSS THE B. & O. - C. & O.
RAILROAD UNTIL IT INTERSECTS THE MARYLAND-WEST VIRGINIA
BOUNDARY LINE OF THE POTOMAC RIVER, THENCE IN A SOUTHERLY
DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE MARYLAND-WEST VIRGINIA BOUNDARY
LINE OF THE POTOMAC RIVER TO ITS INTERSECTION OF THE
BOUNDARY LINE OF THE CRESAPTOWN SPECIAL FIRE
TAX-AMBULANCE AREA, THENCE IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION
FOLLOWING SAID BOUNDARY LINE OF CRESAPTOWN SPECIAL FIRE
TAX AREA TO THE TOP OF HAYSTACK MOUNTAIN, THENCE
NORTHERLY ALONG SAID BOUNDARY LINE (EXCLUDING ALL
BUILDINGS AND LAND OF THE AMCELLE PLANT OF THE CELANESE
CORPORATION OF AMERICA IN THE SAID AREA FROM PAYMENT OF
FIRE TAX) TO ITS INTERSECTION OF THE LAVALE FIRE AREA
BOUNDARY LINE, THENCE NORTHERLY ALONG THE BOUNDARY LINE
OF THE LAVALE FIRE AREA [[TO ITS INTERSECTION OF ROUTE
48]], THENCE EASTERLY [[ALONG ROUTE 48]] WITH SAID
BOUNDARY LINE TO THE CITY LIMITS OF CUMBERLAND FOLLOWING
BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID CITY LIMITS TO THE BEGINNING.

(A) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY
MAY LEVY ANNUALLY AGAINST ALL THE ASSESSABLE REAL
PROPERTY WITHIN THE ABOVE DESCRIBED AREA, A TAX
SUFFICIENT, BUT NOT TO EXCEED TEN CENTS ON EACH $100.00
OF ASSESSABLE REAL PROPERTY, TO PAY THE ANNUAL
