(2) THE AREA HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED SHALL BE
DESIGNATED AND KNOWN AS URBAN RENEWAL AREA TWO OF ANNE
ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND:

BEGINNING POP THE SAME AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE
CENTERLINES OF GEORGIA AVENUE AND THE ALLEY IMMEDIATELY
NORTHWEST OF AND PARALLEL TO CRAIN HIGHWAY AND RUNNING
THENCE SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF GEORGIA
AVENUE 580', MORE OR LESS, TO THE CENTERLINE OF RITCHIE
HIGHWAY, THENCE SOUTHERLY THROUGH A CURVE 1850', MORE OR
LESS, ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF RITCHIE HIGHWAY TO THE
CENTERLINE OF N STREET, THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY 530', MORE
OR LESS, ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF N STREET TO THE
CENTERLINE OF THE RIGHT OF WAY OF THE BALTIMORE AND

CONTAINING 41.2 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
County Council declares and finds that the hereinabove
described area contains structures and uses of such
nature as to cause this area to be classified as a
blighted area and that the rehabilitation, redevelopment
or combination thereof is necessary in the interest of
the public health, safety, morale and welfare of the
residents of the County; that the area hereinabove
described shall be designated and known as Urban Renewal
Area Two of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance
and necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health, safety, welfare and property, and
being passed by the affirmative vote of five (5) members
of the County Council, the same shall take effect from
the date it becomes law.
