NEW CARROLLTON

proposed change and the conditions and circumstances
applicable thereto. The public notice shall further
specify that a public hearing will be held on this
annexation resolution and ordinance by the City Council
of the City of New Carrollton at 8:00 P.M. on February 7,
1973, at City Hall 8511 legation Road, New Carrollton,
Maryland.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDAINED,
that this annexation resolution and ordinance shall
become effective forty—five (45) days from February 7,
1973, provided it is finally enacted by the City Council
of New Carrollton on that date, and unless within
forty-five (45) days the City Council has received a
petition for referendum in accordance with the provisions
of Article 23A, Section 19 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957, as amended).

NORTH BRENTWOOD
(Prince George's County)

A RESOLUTION AND ORDINANCE to add
new Section 1227A, to follow immediately
after Section 1227 of Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County, Maryland (1953 Edition),
titled "North Brent wood", by providing
that the Mayor and Town Council of North
Brentwood, Maryland shall exempt from
municipal taxes on 50% of assessments
on the homes of certain persons 65 years
or age or older.

BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED, this 4th day of June
1973, by the Mayor and Town Council of North Brentwood,
Maryland, that new Section 1227A be, and it is hereby
added to Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, Maryland (1953 Edition), Titled
"North Brentwood", to follow immediately after Section
1227 thereof, and to read as follows:

1227A. PERSONS 65 YEARS OF AGE. MUNICIPAL TAX EXEMPTION.

(A) EVERY PERSON OVER THE AGE OF 65 YEARS, WHO IS
A BONA FIDE RESIDENT OF THE TOWN OF NORTH BRENTWOOD WHOSE
TOTAL GROSS INCOME IS SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
