PROPERTY; THENCE BY AND WITH SAID WESTERN OUTLINE NORTH
26° 33' 30" EAST 232.68 FEET TO A POINT; THENCE NORTH 58°
23' WEST 3177.31 feet to a monument on the Middletown
High School property about 2 feet east of the Herman
Coblentz property; thence North 71° 42' 10" West 2800.84
feat to a monument on the Oliver Hooper property at an
outline of the Laura C. Korrell property; thence South
77° 28' 24" West 1468.00 feet to a monument on the Emmett
H. Markwood, et al property; thence by and with the
outline of said property seven courses and distances;
North 35° 00' East 272.32 feet to an iron pipe; thence
North 36° 08' West 1005.00 feet to a planted stone;
thence South 59° 00' West 561.00 feet to a stake; thence
South 79° 30' West 99., 00 feet to a stake; thence South
63° 30' West 429.00 feet to a stake; thence South 27° 30'
West 630.57 feet to a point in the center of the
aforesaid National Turnpike Road; thence by and with the
center of said road South 49° 13' East 398.36 feet to the
place of beginning.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Burgess and

Commissioners of Middletown shall give notice of this

Resolution by posting an exact copy of the same at town

office and by providing for the publication of the same

in a newspaper of general circulation within the

corporate limits of said municipality no fewer than four

times at not less than weekly intervals after the
adoption of this Resolution.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the authority
aforesaid that, a public hearing on the Resolution shall
be held by the Burgess and Commissioners of Middletown on
Friday evening, March 30, 1973 at 8:00 P.M. in the Fire
Hall on South Church Street, Middletown, Maryland.

At the regular meeting of the Burgess and
Commissioners of Middletown, a municipal corporation of
the State of Maryland, held in Middletown, Maryland, on
the 13th day of November, 1972, the following Resolution
was duly introduced:

WHEREAS, a Petition for the enlargement of the
corporate boundaries of the Burgess and Commissioners of
Middletown in the hereinafter described area has been
initiated in writing from not less than 25% of the
persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are
registered as voters in the county elections in Frederick
County, Maryland, and from the owners of not less than
25% of the assessed valuation of the real property
located in the area to be annexed and the signatures
