SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Elkton will hold a
public meeting in regards to the enactment of this
Resolution on September 19th, 1973 at 8:00 P.M. in the
Town Hall of the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of
Elkton, Elkton, Maryland.

SECTION 7. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the date
of adoption of this Resolution is October 3, 1973 and the
amendment to the charter of the Town of Elkton by the
Mayor and Commissioners of Elkton hereby proposed by this
enactment shall become effective forty—five (45) days
after final enactment, unless a proper petition for a
referendum hereon shall be filed as permitted by law,
provided a complete and exact copy of this Resolution
shall be posted in the Town Hall of Elkton until
September 19, 1973 and provided, further, that public
notice of the contents of this Resolution shall be
published in the "Cecil Whig", or "Cecil Democrat", a
newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Elkton,
once in each of the weeks of August 8, 15, 22nd and 29th,
1973.

SECTION 8. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
Mayor of the Town of Elkton be and he is hereby
specifically enjoined and instructed to carry out the
provisions of Section 6 hereof, and, as evidence of said
compliance, the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of
