DENTON

subject to the provisions of the charter of the
Commissioners of Denton, a municipal corporation.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the date
of the introduction of this resolution is December 7th,
1970, and that a public notice of said resolution be
published in the County Record, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Denton and in the area to be
annexed, once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks,
briefly and accurately describing the proposed change and
conditions and circumstances thereto, and setting a
public hearing on Friday, January 15th, 1971, at 7:00
P.M., at the Firehouse, Denton, Maryland, at which time
the Legislative Body will conduct a public hearing on
said resolution.

Resolution of The Commissioners Of Denton, adopted
pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of The
Constitution of Maryland, and Section 19 of Article 23A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) Title
"Corporations—Municipal", to enlarge the corporate
boundaries of the Town of Denton, Maryland.

SECTION 1: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF
DENTON, that the corporate boundaries of the Town of
Denton be enlarged by annexation into the said Town of
Denton, the following lands and premises which are
contiguous and adjoining to the existing corporate areas
of said Town and described as hereinafter set forth;
consent to the said resolution having been heretofore
filed with The Commissioners of Denton by more than
Twenty—Five percentum of the persons who reside in the
area to be annexed, and who are registered as voters in
County Elections, and from owners of not less than
Twenty—Five percentum of the assessed valuation of the
real estate located in the area to be annexed; said lands
being particularly described as follows:

Beginning for the outlines thereof at a marble
marker at the N.E. corner of the intersection of
Sunnyside avenue and Seventh Place, which marker is on
the south boundary line of the Town of Denton, Maryland,
and is so inscribed; thence binding with the north lot
lines of Sunnyside Avenue north 75 degrees 52 minutes
east 557.75 feet to a concrete marker set in the
northeast corner of the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue
and South Eighth Street; thence binding with the east
side of South Eighth Street, south 22 degrees 05 minutes
west 196.7 feet to a concrete marker; thence still
