SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this
resolution shall become effective at the end of
forty—five (45) days following its final enactment unless
a proper petition for referendum hereon shall be filed,
as permitted by law.

A RESOLUTION of the Commissioners of Bel Air to
amend the Charter of Bel Air by adding to said
Charter new Section 178, entitled "Appointment and
Removal of Town Administrator", and new Section 179,
entitled "Duties and Responsibilities of Town
Administrator", and by deleting from the Charter of
Bel Air Section 107, entitled "Officers to be
Appointed", providing for the annual appointment of
a Clerk, a Treasurer, a Superintendent of Public
Works and a Chief Police Officer; Section 108,
entitled "Duties of Clerk", providing for the duties
of Clerk; Section 109, entitled "Duties of
Treasurer", providing for the duties of Treasurer;
Section 110, entitled "Duties of Superintendent of
Public Works", providing for the duties of
Superintendent of Public Works; Section 111,
entitled "Duties of Chief Police Officer", providing
for the duties of Chief Police Officer; Section 112
entitled "Other Officers to be Appointed", providing
for the appointment of other officers by the
Commissioners; and Section 116, entitled "Terms of
Officers; Vacancies", providing for the terms of the
Clerk, Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Works and
Chief Police Officer, because said Sections are in
conflict with new Sections 178 and 179 of the
Charter of Bel Air.
