Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
567.

This bill authorizes Baltimore City to borrow
$4,200,000 to finance a comprehensive system of solid
waste disposal.

Senate Bill 325, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 9, 1974, accomplishes
the same purpose as House Bill 567.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 567.
