MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                       3065

This bill authorizes Baltimore City to borrow one
million dollars to improve street lighting.

House Bill 557, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on March 28, 1974, accomplishes
the same purpose as Senate Bill 304.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 304.

Senate Bill No. 305 — Baltimore City Fire Department Bonds
AN ACT concerning

Baltimore City - Public Building Bond Issue Amendment

FOR the purpose of adding the Fire Department of
Baltimore City as a participating agency in the loan
funds authorized by Chapter 3 of the Laws of
Maryland of 1963 (Baltimore City — Public Building
Bond Issue).

May 31, 1974.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
305.

This bill adds the Fire Department of Baltimore City
as a participating agency in the loan funds authorized by
Chapter 3 of the Laws of Maryland of 1963.

House Bill 566, which was passed by the General
Assembly and signed by me on March 28, 1974, accomplishes
the same purpose as Senate Bill 305.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 305.
