RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State send copies of
this Resolution to all members of the Maryland Delegation
in the United States Congress.

A Bouse Joint Resolution concerning

Port Authority Facilities in Baltimore

FOR the purpose of urging [[the State Department of
Transportation]] employers of waterfront labor to
provide first—aid services at the Port Authority
facilities in Baltimore.

WHEREAS, It is in the public interest to promote the
effective use of the Port Authority facilities in
Baltimore; and

WHEREAS, The Port Authority facility is a busy
place, with large numbers of people present every day;
and

WHEREAS, There are at present no first—aid services
available at the Port Authority facility to those who may
need them; and

WHEREAS, The ends of good business and humanity
would be served by the availability of first—aid services
at the Port Authority facilities; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
[[the State Department of Transportation is]] employers
of waterfront labor are urged to provide first—aid
services at the Port Authority facilities in Baltimore;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to
Harry Hughes, Secretary of Transportation, P. O. Box
8755, Baltimore-Washington International Airport,
Baltimore, Maryland 21240; and Joseph L. Stanton, Port
Administrator, Pier 2, Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland
21202 for transmittal to the appropriate employers of
waterfront labor.
