FOR the purpose of giving the power to subpoena the
records of any licensed establishment to the boards
of license commissioners of [[any county]] certain
counties or Baltimore City[[, except]] [[Calvert]]
[[Anne Arundel County,]] for the purpose of certain
hearings before such boards, deleting obsolete
language, and clarifying the language.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 193 of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
193.
For the purpose of all hearings and inquiries which
the Comptroller, the board of license commissioners for
any county or Baltimore City, or the State Appeal Board
are authorized to hold and make, the [said] official,
boards and Appeal Board, and the respective members
thereof, are authorized to issue summons for witnesses,
and to administer to them oaths or affirmations, and all
summonses so issued shall be served by the police
department of the City of Baltimore or by the sheriff of
any of the counties. If any witness so summoned shall
refuse or neglect to attend, or attending, refuse to
testify, the [said] official issuing the summons shall
report the facts to the Superior Court of Baltimore City,
or the circuit court for the county, as the case may be,
and [said] THE court is hereby authorized and directed to
proceed by attachment against [said] THE witness in all
respects as if neglect or refusal had been by a witness
summoned to appear in [said] THE court in a case pending
before it. [Provided, however, in Prince George's
County and Baltimore County the] [[EXCEPT IN]]
[[CALVERT]] [[ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY THE]] IN PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY, BALTIMORE COUNTY, AND BALTIMORE CITY,
THE boards of license commissioners [and/or the clerks of
the said boards of license commissioners] [[of]] [said
counties] [[BALTIMORE CITY OR ANY COUNTY]] are ALSO
authorized to subpoena any records or papers pertaining
