MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            2763

BE TERMINATED BY THE STATE, IN ACCORD WITH THE TERMS
THEREOF RESPECTING EXPIRATION OR TERMINATION, THE
EMPLOYEES FORMERLY COVERED BY THE AGREEMENT SHALL BE
TRANSFERRED WITH NO DIMINUTION OF SALARY TO THE
EMPLOYMENT OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, WITH FULL CREDIT FOR
ALL PURPOSES FOR PRIOR SERVICE WITH THE CITY, THE
AUTHORITY AND THE STATE AND WITH NO REDUCTION IN
RETIREMENT OR OTHER BENEFITS OR ALLOWANCES EARNED AND
ACCRUED BY SUCH EMPLOYEE THROUGH PRIOR STATE SERVICE,
NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 53 OF ARTICLE
88B OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, WITHOUT FURTHER
EXAMINATION OR QUALIFICATION AND SHALL BE SUBJECT
GENERALLY TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 64A OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, EXCEPT THAT THOSE PERSONS
EMPLOYED AS MEMBERS OF THE FIRE-RESCUE SERVICE SCHEDULED
ON SHIFTS OF DUTY FOR TWENTY-FOUR HOUR PERIODS, WITH
INTERVENING OFF DUTY FORTY-EIGHT HOUR PERIODS MAY BE
RETAINED ON SUCH A SCHEDULE, WITHOUT RECEIVING OVERTIME
PAY, NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW, OR THE
REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL , and provided
further that nothing in this Act shall be construed to
require the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to sell
Friendship International Airport to the State of
Maryland.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning

Calvert County - Bond Authorization

FOR the purpose of authorizing and empowering the County
Commissioners of Calvert County to borrow after
January 1, 1975, upon the faith and credit of
Calvert County, an amount or amounts not exceeding
[[Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000)]]
One Million Dollars ($1.000,000) and to issue bonds
therefor for assisting in the equipping and
maintaining of fire departments, rescue squads,
annexes or substations within the County; and
assisting in construction and renovation projects of
said fire departments, rescue squads, annexes or
substations, including the acquisition of land and
