Trapping — Nonresident Licenses

FOR the purpose of restricting     the issuance of a

nonresident trapping license   to residents of States

which grant the same trapping   privileges to Maryland
residents.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 10-502 of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974
Volume) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

10-502.

Any nonresident of the State who desires to trap
wild mammals, except otter or beaver, first shall procure
a nonresident trapper's license in addition to any other
license required. The license shall be issued ONLY TO
RESIDENTS OF OTHER STATES WHICH GRANT THE SAME TRAPPING
PRIVILEGES TO MARYLAND RESIDENTS. THE LICENSE SHALL BE
ISSUED for a $25,50 fee in accordance with the procedures
for issuing nonresident hunting licenses and shall be
effective for the same period as a hunter's license. The
clerk or agent shall retain 50 cents as compensation for
issuing the license and the balance of the fee shall be
paid and accounted for in the manner provided by §
10-209.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
