(House Bill 1137)
AN ACT concerning

State Aid for Public Education - Density Aid Programs
and Declaration of Estimated Income Tax

FOP the purpose of increasing the population density aid
per pupil [[to provide compensatory programs for
students with special educational needs resulting
from educationally or economically disadvantaged
environments]], changing the date on or before which
an amended declaration of estimated income tax is
required to be filed and one—fourth of the estimated
tax due is required to be paid, providing for an
appropriation for the 1974—1975 fiscal year of the
funds necessary for the public education population
density aid increase, and relating generally to
increasing public education population density aid
through advancement of payment of a portion of
estimated income tax, providing for a statewide
study of funding for compensatory programs for
certain students.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 128B of Article 77 - Public
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
