SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 6 of Chapter 504 of the Acts of
the Regular Session of the General Assembly of 1973, be
and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

Chapter 504

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
actual cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds to be
issued under this Act shall be paid to the Treasurer of
the State upon the warrant of the Comptroller and such
proceeds shall be used exclusively for the following
purposes, to wit:

1.     The Comptroller, immediately upon the sale of
and payment for said bonds, first, shall return to and
credit the Treasury for a sum equivalent to the amount
expended under Section 5 of this Act.

2.     The remainder of the proceeds of such loan
shall be credited on the books of the State Comptroller,
to be expended as needed by the State, upon approval by
the Board of Public Works, to provide a fund to be used
to acquire land for the establishment AND DEVELOPMENT of
veterans1 cemeteries in this State.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1974.

FOR the purpose of changing the requirement for
collection of an excise tax in order to increase the
maximum length of trailers subject to the tax, and
clarifying the language.
