2554                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND                      [Ch. 739

(I) THE ESTABLISHMENT OF RAMPS OR CURB CUTS
WOULD BE CONTRARY TO PUBLIC SAFETY;

(II) THE COST OF ESTABLISHING THE RAMPS OR
CURB CUTS WOULD BE EXCESSIVELY DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE
NEED OR THE PROBABLE USE THEREOF; OR

(III) THE SPARSITY OF POPULATION, THE
EXISTENCE OF OTHER AVAILABLE WAYS, OR OTHER FACTORS
DEMONSTRATE AN ABSENCE OF ANY NEED FOR THE RAMPS OR CURB
CUTS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

CHAPTER 740

(House Bill 692)

Service Contracts

FOR the purpose of providing that a service contract for
an appliance may not include [[any]] a certain
period of time during which the appliance is being
repaired under the terms of the contract and is not
in the owner's possession.

Article 83 — Sales and Notices

Section 21K

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 21K be and it is hereby added
to Article 83 — Sales and Notices, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)
to read as follows:
