of negotiating units and providing recognition of
employee organizations as exclusive representatives
of such units; providing for procedures in the event

of impasse;_prohibiting strikes by such employees or

employee organizations; and relating generally to
the relationship between public school employers and
non-certificated public school employees; and
exempting Caroline, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's and
Talbot Counties from the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section 160A of Article 77 - Public

Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969

Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed:

Article 77 — Public Education
160A.

[The Board of Education of Prince George's County is
authorized to negotiate, in the same manner as prescribed
in this chapter, with organizations which represent
noncertificated public school employees.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 160A be and it is hereby added to Article 77 —
Public Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:
