If any provision of this subtitle or its application
to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the
invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the subtitle which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application and to this
end the provisions of this subtitle are severable.]

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
616 1/2 (b) and (d) of Article 27 - Crises ana
Punishments, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1973 Additional Supplement) be and
it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
