gift, or reward or not, except in any such cause, cause
of action, proceeding or matter in which he is a part or
in the result of which he has a property interest,
provided that a judge of the Orphans' Court of Prince
George's County, when he is elected to serve a term
commencing after June 1, 1965, if duly admitted to the
practice of law, may act as an attorney or solicitor and
appear before any court of law or equity in this State
except an orphans' court, in matters other than those
within the jurisdiction of an orphans' court, and which
are not related to the administration or settlement of
estates and guardianships; the doing of any of the acts
made unlawful by this section shall be deemed to be
practicing law: Provided, however, that the performance
of any positive duty imposed by law upon any of the
persons hereinabove named shall not constitute a
violation of the terms of this section; and provided
further, that nothing in this section shall apply to or
affect the settlement of small estates in the Orphans'
Court of Prince George's County, as set forth in [§§ 162
and 163 of Article 93 of this Code] §§ 5-601 THROUGH
5-607 OF THE ESTATES ARTICLE OF THE CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
62(5) (c) of Article 11 — Banks and Trust Companies, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume
and 1973 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 11 - Banks and Trust Companies
62.

(5) (c) The plan may or may not provide for the
amortization of premiums upon bonds or other obligations,
the disposition of discounts and profits, stock rights,
stock dividends and extraordinary dividends and the
allocation of the same to principal or income accounts or
the apportionment of the same between principal and
income accounts, and other like matters; but to the
extent that any plan be silent as to the determination,
allocation and apportionment of principal and income, the
principles of [Article 75B of this] TITLE 14 OF THE
ESTATES ARTICLE OF THE Code [and any amendments thereto,]
so far as applicable, shall be applied.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
78 (b) of Article 16 — Chancery, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be
and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
