SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 264(a), (b), (c), (d) , and
297 (b), (d) of Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1973 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

seized or captured by any police officer in Baltimore
City, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil,
