AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt — Purchase of Properties
in the City of Annapolis

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State
debt in the aggregate amount of Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars (5500,000), the proceeds thereof to
be used for the purpose of protecting the present
character of School Street and State Circle in
Annapolis by the purchase and resale with
appropriate restrictions of real property located on
School Street and State Circle in Annapolis, or by
the acquisition of architectural easements for real
property located on State Circle or School Street in
Annapolis; and providing generally for the issue and
sale of bonds evidencing such loan.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Board of Public Works is hereby
authorized and empowered to issue a State loan to be
known as the School Street and State Circle Loan of 1974,
in the aggregate amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000) .
