AN ACT concerning

Corrective Legislation — Municipal Corporations

FOR the purpose of correcting a certain punctuation error
in the laws relating to municipal corporations.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

Article 23B — Municipal Corporation Charter

Section 25

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 25 of Article 23B — Municipal
Corporation Charter, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Article 23B — Municipal Corporation Charter
25.

Every person who (1) is a citizen of the United
States, (2) is at least eighteen years of age, (3) has
resided in the State of Maryland for at least one year
next preceding any town election, (4) has resided within
the corporate limits of the town for six months next
preceding any town election, and (5) is registered in
accordance with the provisions of this charter, is a
qualified voter of the town. Every qualified voter of
the town is entitled to vote at all town elections.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
