and conditions relating to improvements by the
tracks in the award of additional days; excepting
the additional days [[for]] from the limitation on
the days to conduct racing by any one licensee and
[[increasing]] from the limitation on the days of
racing to be held on any one track; stipulating that
award of racing dates constitutes a license and not
a franchise; giving one—half the breakage for purse
money with an allocation to the Maryland—Bred Race
Fund; increasing the deduction from multiple mutuel
pools as defined and providing for the allocation
thereof to the tracks; removing all references to
Harford County Fair Association, Inc., Baltimore
Trotting Races, Inc., and Cumberland Fair
Association, Inc,; removing an obsolete provision on
the limitation on the redemption of winning tickets;
consolidating the number of racing days which the
Commission may award to tracks in one section; and
consolidating the number of days which the
Commission may award to the Maryland State Fair and
Agricultural Society, Incorporated, in one section;
[[and]] increasing the number of racing days awarded
to the Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society,
Incorporated and authorizing the Commission to
withdraw these days if an improvement program is not
provided; providing for the award of additional days
in 1974; and relating generally to the increase and
award of racing days at certain tracks.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 78B — Racing Commission

Section 7 (b) and (c) , 11(b)(1), (3), (4), (5), (6),

and (7), 14(b) and (c), 15(a), 16(a) 17(a)

and (b), 18A(b), 18B and 23

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 7(b) and (c) , 11(b)(1), (3), (4),

(5), (6), and (7), 14(b) and (c) , 15(a), 16(a) 17(a) and

(b), 18A(b), 18B and 23 of Article 78B - Racing

Commission, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
