Counties of Maryland, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it
is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Article 25A — Chartered Counties of Maryland
(V) Recreation

To enact local laws providing for the development
and administration of a comprehensive recreational
program including the construction, equipment and use of
park, community center, and recreational buildings and
facilities, the acquisition of sites therefor, INCLUDING
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ARTISTIC, MUSICAL, AND CULTURAL
PUBLIC AND PRIVATE NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND
ACTIVITIES, and the furnishing of recreational and other
municipal services in connection therewith; AND TO
EXERCISE ANY POWER OR AUTHORITY CONFERRED BY THE
PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 25 OF THIS CODE, IN THE SUBTITLE
"PUBLIC RECREATION AND PARKS".

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

AN ACT concerning
Higher Education — Transfer of University of Baltimore

FOR the purpose of providing State Retirement coverage to
employees of the University of Baltimore; and
restoring to active service with reinstated credit,
employees of the University of Baltimore who were
receiving retirement payments from any of the State
Retirement Systems.
