THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE STATE DOCUMENTS
LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Sections [[53E, 53F and 53G]] 141, 142 and 143 to be
under the new subtitle "Division of State Documents" be
and they are hereby added to Article [[40 — General

Assembly,]] 41 — Governor—Executive and Administrative

Departments of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:

DIVISION OF STATE DOCUMENTS
[[53E]] 141. DIVISION OF STATE DOCUMENTS.

THE DIVISION OF STATE DOCUMENTS IS CREATED WITHIN
THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE [[DEPARTMENT OF
LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE]]. IT SHALL COMPILE, EDIT, AND
SUPPLEMENT THE MARYLAND AGENCY RULES AND REGULATIONS AS
PROVIDED BY THE STATE DOCUMENTS LAW.

[[53F]] 142. ADMINISTRATOR OF THE STATE DOCUMENTS
DIVISION.

(A) ADMINISTRATOR OF THE STATE DOCUMENTS DIVISION.

THE DIVISION OF STATE DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
ADMINISTERED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE STATE DOCUMENTS
DIVISION.

(B)    APPOINTMENT.

THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE DIVISION OF STATE DOCUMENTS
SHALL BE APPOINTED [[JOINTLY]] BY THE ("[PRESIDENT OF THE
SENATE AND THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE FROM A]] [[NOMINEE]]

[[LIST OF 3 NOMINEES PROPOSED BY THE DIRECTOR OF

LEGISLATIVE REFERENCE. THE PRESIDENT AND THE SPEAKER MAY
REJECT ANY NOMINEE AND CALL FOR ANOTHER]] GOVERNOR.

(C)    TENURE.
