SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4A be and it is hereby added to
Article 27 - Crimes & Punishments, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)
to read as follows:

Article 27 — Crimes 5 Punishments

AIRCRAFT
4A.

IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO OPERATE AN AIRCRAFT
TOWING AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROMOTIONAL PURPOSES AT AN
ALTITUDE OF LESS THAN 3,000 FEET OVER ANY PUBLIC OR
PRIVATE SPORTING ARENA IN BALTIMORE CITY INCLUDING THE
AIRSPACE ABOVE A ONE MILE RADIUS FROM THE ARENA.
VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS A MISDEMEANOR PUNISHABLE BY
A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN $500.00 [[, OR BY IMPRISONMENT
FOR NOT MORE THAN SIX MONTHS OR BOTH, IN THE DISCRETION
OF THE COURT]].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
