BY AN AUTHORIZED PUBLIC OFFICIAL OR PUBLIC BODY WHICH
WOULD CONSTITUTE A CRIME INVOLVING MORAL TURPITUDE OR A
VIOLATION OF THE STATE ELECTION LAWS, WHETHER OR NOT THE
PERSON IS SUBSEQUENTLY PROSECUTED: OR

[(4)] (5) Has knowingly violated any provision of
this subtitle OR THE CODE OF ETHICS PROMULGATED PURSUANT
TO § 518(C); or

[(5)] (6) Has aided or abetted any other person or
persons not licensed as required by this subtitle in the
performance of activities which constitute the practice
of architecture.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
3, 4, 7, 8[[(a)]] and 17(a) of Article 75 1/2 -
Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and
1973 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 75 1/2 — Professional Engineers
and Land Surveyors

3.

A State Board of Registration for Professional
Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors[, which shall
be] IS CREATED [a] AS part of the Department of Licensing
and Regulation[, is hereby created whose duty it]. IT
shall [be to 3 administer the provisions of this article.
The Board shall consist of four professional engineers
[and], a professional land surveyor AND A MEMBER OF THE
GENERAL PUBLIC, all of whom shall be appointed by the
Governor with the advice of the Secretary of Licensing
and Regulation. THE ENGINEERS AND THE LAND SURVEYOR
MEMBER SHALL BE SELECTED from lists of not more than
three nominees recommended by each of the following: the
Maryland chapter or section of the American Society of
Civil Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical
Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic
Engineers, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers,
and the Maryland Society of Surveyors, and [who] shall
have the qualifications required by § 4. The Board shall
consist of one civil engineer, one mechanical engineer,
one electrical engineer, one chemical engineer [and], one
land surveyor, AND THE PUBLIC MEMBER.

[The incumbent members of the Board of Registration
for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, created by
Chapter 604, Acts of 1949, shall continue in office as
members of the Board created by this article until the
expiration of their respective terms of appointment or
