AN ACT concerning

Montgomery County — Housing

FOR the purpose of finding and declaring the necessity of
assisting persons who lack sufficient income to
afford decent, safe and sanitary dwelling
accommodations without overcrowding in obtaining
such housing within Montgomery County; establishing
the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery
County; providing that in Montgomery County the
Housing Opportunities Commission is authorized
pursuant to local law or contract with the County to
provide housing for persons of eligible income, as
defined herein, and to otherwise assist the County
in providing housing for persons of eligible income
pursuant to local law or a contract or contracts;
and further providing that in Montgomery County the
County is authorized to aid and cooperate with the
Housing Opportunities Commission on housing projects
for persons of eligible income; and providing that
this Act shall be an emergency measure.
