SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.

Foreclosure of Rights of Redemption - Costs

FOR the purpose of revising the costs involved in
proceeding to foreclose a right of redemption.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7-203 of Article - Courts and
Judicial Proceedings, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Volume) be and it is hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

7-20 3.

(a)    The fees and disbursements in any proceedings
to foreclose the right of redemption may not exceed
[$6.50] $25.00. The fees do not include recording fees.

(b)    If more than one property is included in the
same bill of complaint and an answer or other pleading is
filed, the clerk shall collect additional fees as
provided in §7-202.
