13-102. PURPOSES AND CONSTRUCTION.

THE PURPOSES OF THIS TITLE ARE TO SIMPLIFY THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THE ESTATES OF MINORS AND DISABLED
PERSONS, TO REDUCE THE EXPENSES OF ADMINISTRATION, TO
CLARIFY THE LAW GOVERNING THE ESTATES OF MINORS AND
DISABLED PERSONS, AND TO ELIMINATE CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF
EXISTING LAW WHICH ARE ARCHAIC, OFTEN MEANINGLESS UNDER
MODERN PROCEDURES, AND NO LONGER USEFUL. THIS ARTICLE
SHALL BE LIBERALLY CONSTRUED AND APPLIED TO PROMOTE ITS
UNDERLYING PURPOSES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 93A, §104(a). Subsection (b) is deleted
as unnecessary in view of the Uniform
Severability Clause in Art. 1, §21 of the
Code. The only other change is in style.

13-103. VERIFICATION.

FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS TITLE, VERIFICATION IS
SUFFICIENT IF MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF
§1-102 (A) AND (B) OF THIS ARTICLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
from Art. 93A, §102. It is similar to the
provisions contained in Art. 93, §1-102 and is
revised to conform to the revision made in
this article.

13-104. NOTICE.

IF GIVEN IN ACCORDANCE KITE THE PROVISIONS OF §1-103(A),
