Section 4-307

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 4-307 be and it is hereby
added to Article — Natural Resources, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1974 Volume) to read as follows:

4-307.

THE POTOMAC RIVER FISHERIES COMMISSION SHALL HAVE
THE POWER TO MAKE, ADOPT, AND PUBLISH SUCH RULES AND
REGULATIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR DESIRABLE FOR
AUTHORIZING AND REGULATING THE DREDGING OF OYSTERS WITH
HANDSCRAPES IN AREAS OF THE POTOMAC RIVER WITHIN ITS
GEOGRAPHICAL JURISDICTION AND MAY LEVY LICENSE FEES FOR
SAME.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall not take effect until a similar Act is passed by
the Commonwealth of Virginia; that the Commonwealth of
Virginia is requested to concur in this Act of the
General Assembly of Maryland, by the passage of a similar
Act; and that thereupon the Governor of the State of
Maryland issue a proclamation declaring this Act valid
and effective.
