(2) Practice nursing as defined by this
subtitle under color of any diploma, license, or record
illegally or fraudulently obtained or signed or issued
unlawfully or under fraudulent representation.
(3) Practice [professional nursing] AS A
REGISTERED NURSE or A LICENSED practical [nursing] NURSE
as defined by this subtitle unless [duly] licensed to do
so under the provisions of this subtitle.
(4) Use in connection with his or her name
the designation "nurse" [(except as authorized in § 300
(e) of this article) ] or any other designation tending to
imply that he or she is a licensed registered nurse or a
licensed practical nurse unless [duly] licensed so to
practice under the provisions of this subtitle; provided,
however, that until June 1, 1969, nothing in this
subtitle shall prevent unlicensed persons from using the
designation "nurse" or "practical nurse."].
(5) Practice [professional nursing] AS A
REGISTERED NURSE or A LICENSED practical [nursing] NURSE
during the time his or her license issued under the
provisions of this subtitle [shall be] HAS lapsed, OR
BEEN suspended or revoked.
(6) KNOWINGLY EMPLOY UNLICENSED PERSONS IN
THE PRACTICE OF NURSING.
(7) FAIL TO REPORT TO THE BOARD AT LEAST
ANNUALLY THE NAMES OF ALL PERSONS EMPLOYED BY THEM FOR
THE PRACTICE OF NURSING.
(b) Any person, INSTITUTION OR AGENCY convicted of
violating this subtitle shall be fined not more than one
hundred dollars for the first offense. Each subsequent
offense [shall be] IS punishable by a fine of not more
than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment of not more
than six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.]]

This subtitle shall be known and may be cited as the
["Nurses Licensing] "NURSE PRACTICE Act."
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
