[(e)] (G) "Underground water" means any supply of
water which may be developed by any type of well or
spring from beneath the surface of the ground whether the
water flows from the well or spring by natural force or
is withdrawn by pumping, other mechanical device, or
artificial process.
[(f)] (H) "Well" means any excavation or
penetration in the ground, whether drilled, bored, cored,
DRIVEN, JETTED, or dug, for A water SUPPLY, or [in] FOR
THE exploration for water, OR FOR THE RECHARGE OR
INJECTION OF ANY WATER [[OR WASTES]] INTO AN AQUIFER.
[(9)] (I) "Well driller" means a person in charge
of the actual drilling, boring, coring, DRIVING, JETTING,
digging, constructing, INSTALLING, ABANDONING, BY
PERMANENT DISCONNECTION altering, or repairing of any
well.

(a) The Board may grant various licenses,
including, but not limited to, masters, JOURNEYMEN,
apprentices, and restricted licenses to any person
intending to engage in the business of well drilling in
the State. The Board shall issue a well driller's
license to any applicant who qualifies under and complies
with the provisions of Part III dealing with well
drillers. The license shall be in the manner, terms, and
conditions as provided by statute, or rule or regulation,
and granted on payment of a [$25 annual fee.] NEW
LICENSE APPLICATION FEE OF $10, PLUS THE FOLLOWING ANNUAL
LICENSE FEES:

8-613.
A person may not engage in the business of WELL
drilling [any well for which a licensed well driller]
WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER FOR WHICH A LICENSE is
required without obtaining a license. A separate offense
shall exist on each day a violation occurs.
