(F) FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE THE STATE
ADMINISTRATOR OF ELECTION LAWS IS THE AGENT OF THE
SECRETARY OF STATE."

Which amendment was read and adopted.

Amendment No. 3—

Immediately following line 2 on page 3 of the printed bill insert the
following:

"28-3.

[(A) Persons holding the following enumerated and described
offices and positions shall file the statements required by this subtitle
in the prescribed manner:

(1)    Any person elected to a federal or state public office of the
State of Maryland;

(2)    Any person elected to the General Assembly ;

(3)    The Treasurer and Secretary of the State of Maryland;

(4)    Any person elected to the office of County Executive, County
Commissioner or County Councilman, President of the County Council;

(5)    Any person elected to the office of Mayor, President of the City
Council, or City Councilman or Alderman;

(6)    Any Secretary or Deputy Secretary of a principal executive
department of the State of Maryland;

(7)    Any person appointed to a vacancy in an aforementioned office
or position.

(8)    Any person elected or appointed to the judiciary.

(B) The Governor, or the County or City Authority holding the
executive power within its jurisdiction, may extend by executive
order the reporting requirements of this subtitle to any other position
compensated in whole or in part by public funds; or to any non-
compensated appointive position, if:

(1) The Governor or the applicable authority, as the case may be,
determines that the duties or responsibilities of the position are com-
parable to those of the positions enumberated in subsection (A) of this
section.]

PERSONS HOLDING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ENUMER-
ATED AND DESCRIBED OFFICES AND POSITIONS SHALL
FILE THE STATEMENTS REQUIRED BY THIS SUBTITLE IN
THE PRESCRIBED MANNER:

(A)    ALL OFFICIALS ELECTED TO AN OFFICE IN:

(1)    THE STATE GOVERNMENT, ANY COUNTY GOVERN-
MENT IN THIS STATE, OR ANY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION
IN THIS STATE; OR

(2)    THE STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF A POLITICAL
PARTY IN THIS STATE;

(B)    MEMBERS OF THE JUDICIARY OF THIS STATE;
