The Senate met at 8:00 P.M.

Prayer by Rev. Leroy Bowman, First Baptist Church, Annapolis, Md.

Chartered Counties—Courthouses

FOR the purpose of enumerating the express power of chartered counties
to erect, establish and maintain courthouses within their respective
counties.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

Article 25A—Chartered Counties of Maryland

Section 5 (C)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume)

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

Senate Bill No. 16—By Senator Crawford:
AN ACT concerning

Fair Election Practices—Campaign Expenditures

FOR the purpose of limiting campaign expenditures, with respect to a
single election, to ten cents times the total population of the state,
district, or other area within which the election is held of $1,000,
whichever is more.

BY adding to

Article 33—Election Code

Section 26-10 (d)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement)

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.
