Amendment No. 23—

On page Sec. 2-3, of Section 3, in line 1 before the word "Sections"
insert "Section 410A and"; in the same line strike "410A" and in lieu
thereof insert "410C"; and in line 7 before the word "Sections" insert
"Section 222 and" and in the same line strike "222" and in lieu thereof
insert "224"

Amendment No. 24—

On page Sec. 2-3 of Section 3 before line 15 and after the revisor's note,
insert the following new subsection:

"(c) Section 410B of Article 66C, Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Repl. Vol. and 1972 Supplement, as added to or amended by
legislation enacted at the 1973 regular session of the General Assem-
bly) , title "Natural Resources", subtitle "Public Recreation and Parks",
be and it is hereby repealed, re-enacted with amendments, recodified,
and renumbered, as a new Section 223 of Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1973 Repl. Vol., as added to or amended by
legislation enacted at the 1973 regular session of the General Assem-
bly), title "County Commissioners", subtitle "Public Recreation and
Parks", to follow immediately after Section 222 thereof, to read as
follows:

223. MEANING OF "GOVERNING BODY."

THE TERM "GOVERNING BODY" AS USED HEREIN MEANS
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, BY WHATEVER NAME KNOWN,
OF A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS OR COUNTY COUNCIL, AND SHALL MEAN AND
INCLUDE BALTIMORE CITY."

Which amendments were read and adopted.

Favorable report adopted, as amended.

Which was read the second time and ordered passed to its third reading.

Delegate Arnick moved to suspend House Rule 45 for introduction of
Amendment by Delegate Hopkins to House Bill No. 1.
