INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House Bill No. 11—By Delegate J. Douglass:
AN ACT concerning

Financial Disclosure

FOR the purpose of setting forth the purpose of the new subtitle, defin-
ing terms, providing for the appointment of a Commission by the
Governor, describing the makeup and the powers and duties of the
Commission, providing for the filing of certain financial statements
at certain times and by certain persons, providing a method of
enlarging the class of persons required to file statements, describing
the statement, excepting certain assets and liabilities from disclosure,
providing a right of appeal, providing penalties for failure to file a
statement and repealing the present law and subtitle relating to
disclosure.

BY repealing

Article 33—Election Code

Section 28-1 to 28-5, inclusive under the repealed subtitle of "Finan-
cial Disclosure Act". Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement
Volume and 1972 Supplement).

BY adding to

Article 33—Election Code

Section 29-1 to 29-9, inclusive, under the new subtitle "Commission
on Financial Disclosure". Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replace-
ment Volume and 1972 Supplement).

Read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.
