"SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly,
the same shall take effect from the date of its passage."

Senators Hodges and McGuirk offered the following amendment from the
floor.

AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENTS TO
SENATE BILL NO. 4

By Senators Hodges and McGuirk from the floor:
Amendment No. 19—

In line 39 of Amendment No. 3 by the Committee, strike the ":". In
line 40 of the same amendment strike "(1)". In lines 42 through 44 of the
same amendment, strike "; OR (2) THE STATE CENTRAL COMMIT-
TEE OF A POLITICAL PARTY IN THIS STATE;" and insert in lieu
thereof ".".

Amendment No. 19—

In line 39 of Amendment No. 3, by the Committee, immediately following
the word "ELECTED" insert the words "IN 1974 AND THEREAFTER".

In line 19 on page 3 of the printed bill, immediately following the word
"ESTATE" insert the words "ACQUIRED SUBSEQUENT TO THE 1974
GENERAL ELECTION".
