(B) WORKINGS WITHIN 300 FEET OF BOUNDARY LINES
BETWEEN MINES.—IF THE WORKINGS OF ANY MINE APPROACH
WITHIN 300 FEET OF THE BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN THE MINE
AND ANY ADJOINING MINE, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOTIFY THE
DISTRICT MINE INSPECTOR WHO SHALL ASCERTAIN WHETHER
THE WORKINGS OF THE ADJOINING MINE, AT THEIR NEAREST
POINT, ARE WITHIN 300 FEET OF THE BOUNDARY LINE, AND
HE SHALL IMMEDIATELY INFORM THE OPERATORS OF BOTH
MINES. THE OPERATORS SHALL HAVE THE APPROACHING
WORKINGS OF THE MINES SURVEYED AND SHOWN ON THE MAPS
OF BOTH MINES. FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING THIS MAP,
THE INSPECTOR SHALL GIVE WRITTEN PERMITS TO ENGINEERS
OF EITHER OR BOTH OPERATORS TO ENTER AND SURVEY THE
ADJOINING WORKINGS OF EITHER MINE.

(C) CUSTODY OF ORIGINAL MAP.—THE ORIGINAL MAP
OR A TRUE COPY SHALL BE KEPT IN THE MINE OFFICE AT THE
MINE, FOR THE USE OF THE MINE OFFICIALS AND
INSPECTORS, AND FOR THE INSPECTION OF ANY PERSON
WORKING IN THE MINE WHENEVER HE REASONABLY DESIRES TO
REVIEW THE MAP OR TRUE COPY.

(D) EXTENSION OF MINES AND WORKINGS.—EVERY SIX
MONTHS THE OPERATOR OF EACH MINE SHALL CAUSE TO BE
ACCURATELY SHOWN ON THE MAP AND ON THE COPIES ANY
EXTENSION OF ANY PORTION OF THE MINE, WHICH WAS MADE
DURING THE INTERVENING PERIOD, AND ANY PORTION OF THE
MINE AND MINE WORKINGS, DISCONTINUED OR ABANDONED.
