(GG) "VENTILATING CURRENT" MEANS A CURRENT OF
AIR CIRCULATING THROUGHOUT THE MINE EXCAVATION,
CONTAINING NOT LESS THAN 19.5 PERCENT OXYGEN NOR MORE
THAN THREE QUARTERS OF ONE PERCENT CARBON DIOXIDE.

REVISOR'S NOTE; This subsection presently appears
as Article 66C, section 486 (v) of the Code.
The final sentence of this section is
proposed for deletion because it does not
relate to the definition of the phrase
"ventilating current". This final sentence
has been transferred to section 7—401 (g).
The only other changes made are in style.

(HH) "WORKING PLACE" MEANS A ROOM, BREAST, ENTRY
CROSSCUT, OR PILLAR WHERE EITHER COAL OR FIRE CLAY IS
BEING MINED OR EXTRACTED AND WHERE AT LEAST ONE MINER
PER WORKING SHIFT OF THE MINE REGULARLY IS EMPLOYED
UNTIL THE PLACE IS FINISHED OR STOPPED.

7-201. BUREAU OF MINES; LOCATION OF MAIN OFFICE.

(A)   BUREAU CREATED AND CONTINUED.--THE BUREAU OF

MINES IS CREATED AND CONTINUED AS A PART OF THE
SURVEY.

(B)   LOCATION OF OFFICE.—THE MAIN OFFICE OF THE
BUREAU SHALL BE LOCATED IN EITHER GARRETT OR ALLEGANY
COUNTY. THE DIRECTOR OF THE BUREAU, WITH THE APPROVAL
OF THE SECRETARY, SHALL SELECT THE LOCATION.
