COMMISSION ON FORESTS AND PARKS AS OF JUNE 30, 1972
MAY SERVE THE UNEXPIRED REMAINDER OF HIS TERM AS A
MEMBER OF AN ADVISORY COMMISSION CREATED BY LAW.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language
derived from Article 41, section 233 of the
Code, as amended by Chapter 348, Acts of
1972. Chapter 348 abolished the
Commission on Forest and Parks and created
the Forest Advisory Commission and the
Parks Advisory Commission.

While creation of these two commissions is
stated in Article 41, section 233 (proposed
section 1-102 of Title 1), it is repeated
here for the convenience of the Code user
interested in the subject matter of Title
5.

5-205. STATE FORESTER; SUPERINTENDENT OF STATE PARKS.

THE SECRETARY SHALL APPOINT THE STATE FORESTER
AND THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STATE PARKS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Article 66C, section 344A of the Code, as
amended by Chapter 348, Acts of 1972. The
only changes made are in style.

5-206. FOREST OR PARK WARDENS.

(A) IN GENERAL---THE GOVERNOR, [[ON

RECOMMENDATION]] WITH THE ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY, MAY
COMMISSION ANY PERSON TO ACT AS A FOREST OR PARK
WARDEN FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS, SUBJECT TO REMOVAL AT
ANY TIME AT THE PLEASURE OF THE GOVERNOR. A WARDEN
SHALL HAVE THE COMPENSATION FIXED BY THE DEPARTMENT.
BEFORE ENTERING UPON HIS DUTIES, A PERSON APPOINTED
WARDEN SHALL TAKE THE OFFICIAL OATH OF OFFICE BEFORE
THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT IN HIS COUNTY OF
RESIDENCE. WHILE HOLDING OFFICE, A WARDEN HAS AND MAY
EXERCISE THE AUTHORITY AND POWER OF A NATURAL
RESOURCES POLICE OFFICES OR A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
SO FAR AS ARRESTING AND PROSECUTING PERSONS FOR
